“No Weak Shit”

Prival has developed the NWS as a multi-tool that can be used in multiple fashions. It is our hope that each user seeks education in the field as a preparatory baseline for exploring the outdoors. In the case where you need to make a fire with the NWS, it is best accomplished by separating the tool and shaving the pitchwood with the knife blade. Striking the ferro rod will create a spark that can ignite the pitchwood shavings.

The NWS tool can be stored in your wallet, survival kit, purse, glovebox, pocket, planner, computer bag, diaper bag, desk drawer, kitchen pantry, night stand, tool box, shirt pocket…you get the point. The tool can be used in a wide variety of situations that may arise unexpectedly. Multi tool detaches to use as a can opener, screwdriver,  hex tools, blade and fire striker.

The key component to the NWS card is the pitch wood – a natural resin-saturated wood that acts as a catalyst for your fire. The steel-alloy tools on either side hold the wood in place and can be used to strike the included ferrocerium rod in order to generate sparks and ignite the pitch wood (even if it’s wet!). We are careful to ensure that the grain of the wood spans laterally, so that you are able to easily break off pieces to get your fire started and still have a complete tool.
