“Prival’s Alaska expedition is a dream trip for anyone looking to ski in Alaska. We trained for remote backcountry travel, efficient winter camping, and glacier travel practices. Having the opportunity to perform snow safety assessments in Alaska has become a fundamental piece of my avalanche safety skill set. Tony’s wealth of knowledge for the Haines area was indispensable.”
Prival has developed a preparatory curriculum for effective skiing of the Haines periphery. Spending time mitigating terrain in the Chilkat Range of Alaska takes a great effort in both weather and terrain dynamics. We will train the necessary skills and protocols to travel and ride alpine terrain features. Let’s join together this April to form a solid foundation for the years of guided or unguided backcountry travel ahead.
